DaysUp Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for DaysUp
Effective date: June 28, 2026
DaysUp ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a count-up timer app for iOS, developed by Ryan Calpin ("Calpin Labs"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.
By using DaysUp, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Summary
- DaysUp does not require an account, and we do not collect your trackers, notes, or other content you create.
- Your data is stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced through your own private iCloud account — we cannot access it.
- The free version shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob, which collects certain data for advertising and analytics. You can turn off ad personalization and remove ads entirely.
- Purchases are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment information.
Information You Provide
DaysUp lets you create "trackers" with titles, dates, notes, icons, colors, and optional milestones or goals. This content is stored locally on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled on your device, this content is synced through your private iCloud (CloudKit) database, which is controlled by your Apple Account.
We do not have access to this content. It is not transmitted to our servers — we do not operate servers that receive your tracker data.
Information Collected Automatically by Third Parties
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of DaysUp displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve ads and measure their performance, AdMob and its partners may collect:
- Identifiers — including your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), if you grant permission to track
- Coarse location — approximate, non-precise location
- Usage and advertising data — such as ad interactions and product interactions
- Diagnostics — crash, performance, and other diagnostic data
This data may be used for third-party advertising and analytics, and — where you have allowed tracking — for measuring and personalizing ads across apps and websites. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
You can:
- Decline tracking when prompted by Apple's App Tracking Transparency dialog, in which case ads are non-personalized.
- Turn off ad personalization in your device's settings.
- Remove ads entirely with the one-time "Remove Ads" purchase, or by subscribing to / purchasing DaysUp Pro.
Apple
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may collect and process information in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). We receive only anonymized purchase confirmations needed to unlock features — never your name, card number, or other payment details.
How Information Is Used
The limited data described above is used to:
- Display and measure advertising in the free version
- Process and validate in-app purchases and subscriptions
- Diagnose crashes and improve reliability
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your tracker content for advertising.
Notifications
DaysUp may send local notifications (for example, milestone reminders) if you enable them. You can turn notifications on or off in the App or in your device's Settings at any time.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because your tracker content lives on your device and in your private iCloud account, you control it:
- Delete individual trackers within the App.
- Delete the App to remove its on-device data.
- Manage or delete iCloud data through your Apple Account settings (Settings → [your name] → iCloud).
Data collected by Google AdMob and Apple is retained according to their respective policies, linked above.
Children's Privacy
DaysUp is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data, and to opt out of certain data uses. Because we do not collect or store your personal content ourselves, most requests are handled directly through your device, iCloud account, Apple, or Google. For anything else, contact us using the details below.
International Users
The third-party services we use (Apple, Google) operate globally and may process data in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards as described in their policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
