Looplet Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 24, 2026 Last updated: May 24, 2026
Looplet is built around a simple idea: your projects are yours. We designed the app so that it does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal information. This policy explains exactly what that means.
The short version
- We don't collect any data about you. Looplet has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third‑party data SDKs.
- Your patterns and yarn stash stay on your device — and, only if you choose, in your own private iCloud.
- AI features run on your Mac using Apple Intelligence. Your pattern text is not sent to us.
- We have no servers that store your content, because we never receive it.
Information we collect
None. Looplet does not ask you to create an account, does not require a login, and does not gather names, email addresses, location, contacts, usage analytics, device identifiers, or any other personal information.
Where your content lives
Everything you create in Looplet — your imported patterns, row and stitch counts, goals, tags, and yarn stash — is stored locally on your Mac. If you unlock Looplet Pro and enable iCloud sync, your content is synced through iCloud Key‑Value Storage / your personal iCloud account using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) service. This data lives in your personal iCloud container. We cannot see it, access it, or retrieve it, and it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn iCloud sync off at any time.
AI Pattern Insights
Looplet Pro's AI features — pattern summaries, abbreviation keys, materials and difficulty breakdowns, time estimates, and the question‑and‑answer assistant — are powered by Apple Intelligence through Apple's on‑device Foundation Models framework. The text of your pattern is processed on your Mac. Looplet does not send your patterns or questions to any Looplet server (we don't operate one) or to any third party. Apple's handling of on‑device intelligence is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Looplet is free to download. "Looplet Pro" is an optional one‑time in‑app purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Looplet never sees or stores your payment details. Purchase and restore information is handled by Apple's StoreKit and is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy.
Third parties
Looplet includes no third‑party advertising networks, analytics services, or tracking libraries. We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect it in the first place.
Children's privacy
Looplet does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is rated 4+ and is safe for users of all ages.
Data retention and deletion
Because your content stays on your device (and, optionally, in your own iCloud), you are in complete control. To delete your data, remove patterns and yarn entries within the app, delete the app, or turn off and delete its iCloud data from your Apple account settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.

Looplet does not collect data, so there is nothing for us to look up — but we're always happy to answer questions about how the app works.
